Mini-Olympics 2007

Beautiful Brisbane River                                  Chapel                                Beautiful picnic grounds

Edna van Genderen, SeniorNet's Social Convener , organised a fun day for members and friends at the Kholo Botanical Gardens.  Did you know that this location  in 1878 was the first waterworks in the Ipswich region??? It was de-commissioned in 1922. In 1988 the site became a botanical gardens as part of a Bicentennial Project.

Our members enjoyed the outing even though it was a very cold day. Special thanks to Keiran and Lyn Broad for making and donating the medals. Tus, Keiran and Henry as stewards kept the program on track which enabled lunch to be ready at the appropriate time. The winners appreciated the certificates which were designed and produced by Edna.
