The Internet Kiosk

Broadband for Seniors is part of the wider Australian Government Initiative "Making Ends Meet - Plan for Older Australians, People with Disabilities and Carers".  SeniorNet have successfully applied to house one of these Kiosks in our office at the Humanities Building in South Street, Ipswich, Qld.

Let's Talk Net  The Australian Domain Name Administrator – auDA (the government endorsed not-for-profit regulator of the internet in Australia) has launched a series of free, non-commercial podcasts called ‘Let’s Talk Net’.  This resource is a guide to the internet for those who are new to it and for those who are familiar with the technology but wish to extract more from this technology.

Silversurfers This site provides links to the best resources and websites, including foreign sites, for UK users. This site is constantly monitoring the net to search for and find the most appropriate sites for our visitors. This site also tries to take account of virtually every conceivable requirement, from action holidays to a stroll in the Lake District, from children's (and grandchildren's!) learning at home and school to courses for oldies, from 'safe' havens for money to trading live on the world's Stock Markets.

Silver Peers is the newest interactive web site for Australian Seniors, Pensioners, Retirees and everybody still young at heart!  A SeniorNet member is already contributing short stories to  this site.

Seniors Site Launched by the Federal Government in April 2005 as a "One Stop" site connecting older Australians with 40 Government Agencies and 250 Non-Government Organisations.
